At Talisman Programs’ ADHD and autism summer camp, we realize that the safety and success of your child are of primary concern, and we take these responsibilities very seriously. As an ACA-accredited summer camp, Talisman has been providing the highest quality care for special needs youth for three decades.

Through the ACA, the camp must meet more than 300 standards related to facility, human resources, food, medical service and activity safety. Talisman has passed every rigorous inspection since we were first accredited in 1988.

Some Specific Safety Standards at Our ADHD & Autism Summer Camp:

Private Campus –Talisman is located on a quiet rural road, backed up to a 19,000-acre protected forest. All staff, including administrators and our nurse, live on-campus, available for emergencies 24 hours a day.

Experienced Leadership – Year-round staff have all been in continuous Talisman leadership since 1998, having a combined more than 50 years experience working with special needs youth. Whether your child comes to our camp with ADHD, Aspergers, autism or other developmental considerations, our staff is prepared to guide and help them in every way. Almost the entire summer administrative team is comprised of multi-year returning Talisman staff, professionals during the school year. Meet our camp owners and leaders. Dedicated and Proven Staff – All staff must pass a rigorous background and license check, and then complete two and a half weeks of comprehensive training in both hard and soft skills (wilderness first aid, lifeguarding, camping skills, group facilitation, child development, etc.).  Many of the staff are returning from the previous year, because they are truly dedicated to helping our campers.  Meet our staff here>>

Making Safety a Priority – ADHD & autism summer camp programs specialize in working with children and teens and keeping them safe. The best summer camps in the nation take some or all of the following safety precautions:

But don’t take our word for it – see what our returning families say about us! Click here to read what campers, parents and even staff have to say about their own Talisman camp experience>>
