Neurodivergent Summer Camp Programs
for Every Age and Every Child

Foundations is our most supportive program for campers ages 8–13 with ADHD, learning disabilities, and processing differences. It's built around predictable schedules, small groups, and built-in movement breaks — everything an active, energetic kid needs to actually thrive at overnight camp.

Campers in Foundations develop social skills, self-regulation strategies, and real friendships — in a peer group that operates exactly the way they do. This is also the primary recommendation for campers with complex or overlapping diagnoses who need additional individualized support.

Sight is our autism-focused program for campers ages 8–13 who can participate in group activities with structure and guidance. The program is built around consistent routines, peer-matched groups, and natural opportunities to practice social communication — in every activity, every meal, every moment of the day.

Campers in Sight come home with real friendships and real skills. The peer community alone — a group of kids who communicate and connect the same way — is something most of these campers have never experienced anywhere else.

Insight is Talisman's teen program for autism spectrum campers ages 14–17. The focus shifts from foundational social skills toward independence, self-advocacy, and navigating the more complex social landscape of adolescence.

Campers participate in a mix of on-campus activities and off-site adventures — building confidence in unfamiliar environments, making decisions, and taking on more responsibility. The Insight program is where Talisman campers begin to own their story.

Quest is our high-energy outdoor program for teens ages 14–17 with ADHD and learning differences. Built for kids who need to move, challenge themselves, and channel their energy into something real — Quest delivers adventure with purpose.

The program includes extended outdoor expeditions, including a multi-day canoeing trip, and is designed for teens who thrive when they're physically engaged and working as a team. Quest campers discover what they're capable of when no one's asking them to sit still.

The Young Adult program is Talisman's flagship offering for neurodivergent individuals ages 18–22 who are working toward supported independence. It blends traditional camp adventure with a serious life skills curriculum covering cooking, household management, financial literacy, transportation, and employment readiness.

This is an ADHD summer camp program for young adults as much as it is an autism program — the community is open to all neurodivergent young adults navigating the transition to adulthood. Field trips, community service, and social outings make every skill feel real.

Leadership is an invitation-only program for returning Talisman alumni ages 15–22 who are ready to step into a mentorship role. Participants take on greater responsibility within the camp community — serving as role models for younger campers and developing real leadership skills.

Invitations are extended by Talisman staff based on a camper's demonstrated growth, commitment to the community, and readiness for increased responsibility. It's one of the most meaningful milestones a Talisman camper can reach.

Krewe is the highest-level alumni program at Talisman — an invitation-only track for long-term alumni ages 16–22 who play an active role in shaping the culture and community of the entire camp.

Krewe members are the heart of Talisman's continuity. They carry traditions, support staff, contribute to group projects, and embody what Talisman stands for. For many long-term campers, earning a Krewe invitation is the proudest moment of their Talisman journey.

Flora & Fauna is Talisman's hands-on nature immersion program — a specialty track for campers who want to go deeper into the natural world. Through guided hikes to waterfalls, visits to a nearby nature center, and daily nature journaling, campers build curiosity, observation skills, and a genuine connection with the environment around them.

This program is designed to be educational without feeling like school. The outdoors becomes a classroom where neurodivergent campers can explore at their own pace, engage their senses, and discover what genuinely lights them up. It's one of the most unique offerings on our campus — and one of the most beloved.
