Choosing the right summer program is an important decision, and we’re here to make the process simple, clear, and supportive from the very first step. Whether your child is new to Talisman Camps or returning for another summer of growth and adventure, this page will walk you through exactly what to expect.

Step-by-Step Application Process

Step 1: Submit an Inquiry or Application

Families can begin the process by filling out our short Online Application. If you aren’t ready to apply but want to talk first, you can also reach out to our team with questions—we’re always happy to help you determine whether Talisman is the right fit.

Step 2: Complete Application Materials & Parent Interview

After submitting your application, you will receive:

  • A confirmation email

  • Required forms to complete

  • An invitation to schedule a brief parent interview

The parent interview helps us understand your child’s strengths, needs, and goals so we can ensure they’re placed in the program that will support them best.

Step 3: Enrollment Decision & Deposit

Once our team reviews your materials and interview notes, we will reach out with an admissions decision.

If your camper is accepted, you’ll confirm enrollment by paying the camp deposit and submitting remaining documents.

Step 4: Welcome Packet & Preparation

After enrollment is confirmed, families receive:

  • A Welcome Email
  • Packing lists
  • Session-specific details
  • Any additional forms
  • Tips on preparing your camper 

As your session approaches, we’ll stay in touch with reminders, updates, and helpful resources.

What to Expect After Applying

Most families hear from us within 7–10 business days once all materials are complete.
You will receive communication by email and phone throughout the process—including application updates, interview scheduling, and decision notifications.

If a program is full, your camper may be placed on a waitlist.
If we determine that our programs are not the right fit, we will communicate that with care and provide recommendations whenever possible.
